National Society Daughters of the American Revolution
God, Home, and Country
Membership in the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) honors and preserves the legacy of your Patriot ancestor. Over two hundred years ago, American Patriots fought and sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today. As a member of the DAR, through participation in the society’s various programs and activities, you can continue this legacy by actively supporting historic preservation, promotion of education, and patriotic endeavors.
When you join the DAR, you enter a network of more than 190,000 women who form lifelong bonds, honor their Revolutionary War ancestors, and promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism in their communities. We have answers to your questions about becoming a member of this historic and vibrant organization.
Any woman 18 years or older, who can prove lineal bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence, is eligible to join the DAR. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage, and death, as well as of the Revolutionary War service of her Patriot ancestor. The members of Caroline Brevard Chapter, NSDAR are eager to meet you and assist in your membership process. Please contact our registrar for more information.
